82 Ascocentrum orchid
A well know native of North Western Thailand is the Ascocentrum family of orchids: Ascocentrum curvifolium (Khem Dang), Ascocentrum ampullaceum (Khem Muang), Ascocentrum miniatum (Khem Sad). They bloom in the months of March to April. These species are often used by orchid growers as one of the parents in hybriding to get new orchid varieties.
