Dendrobium orchids are a large grouping of the Orchid family. Though not native to Thailand, this variety has adapted very well and currently propagated & exported all over the world. New strains are being continuously developed.
Phalaenopsis and hybrids
Phalaenopsis, also known as moth orchids, is a genus of about seventy species of plants in the family Orchidaceae. Orchids in this genus are monopodial epiphytes or lithophytes with long, coarse roots, short, leafy stems and long-lasting, flat flowers arranged in a flowering stem that often branches near the end.
Flowers range from small to large, about 6 - 9 cm. Some varieties bloom during the rainy season (mid-May - mid-October), but most bloom during the cool season(October - February).
